The Lord Who Heals Youనమూనా
A PATTERN OF FAITH FOR HEALING
Proverbs 4:20-23
My son give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings
Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart;
For they are life to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh.
1. Attend to My words
We need to attend to what the Lord is saying to us in His Word and by the Holy Spirit. This does not mean that we can’t go to doctors, respect and follow their advice. It is wisdom to seek medical advice when facing serious illness. It just means that we need to attend to God’s Word over and above that of others.
2. Incline your ear
Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. That is hearing and not just reading- the best way to hear it is to speak it. Incline your ear- what is God saying to you in His Word?
3. Let them not depart from your eyes
This is not so much your physical eyes as your inner vision. What are you seeing for your life and health? Whose perspective are you in?
The best way to build faith is to meditate on scripture. Biblical meditation (not eastern meditation!) is filling your mind and renewing it to align our thinking and heart beliefs with God’s. Meditating on the Word means to take a passage and spend time thinking about it, speaking it and visualising it in your life. See yourself healed, see your sickness placed on Jesus nailed to that Cross. When doubts or other things come before your vision, go to the Word with its promises and keep your vision on it.
4. Keep them in the midst of your heart
Jesus’ words carry His life and Spirit (John 6:33). The healing anointing is the life of God overcoming the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). With the Word in our hearts and set as our vision, it brings the Holy Spirit and God’s healing power into our flesh. The word ‘health’ in verse 23 means medicine- the Word acts as medicine to all your flesh- just like any other medicine you need to take it regularly until healed.
ఈ ప్రణాళిక గురించి
Jesus provided healing for us just as much as forgiveness through His finished work of the Cross. God has not made this difficult to receive but a simple faith that focuses on seeing Jesus and what He has already done for you, positions you for the power of God that is enough to heal 'every kind of sickness and every kind of disease'.
