Chasing Away Anxietyనమూనా
Hello and welcome to this fourth session in this guided meditation series called "Chasing Away Anxiety".
This session is called "Dare To Dream".
During this time I'll be asking some questions and sharing my thoughts to help you become a more peaceful, clear and connected person. Find a quiet place and settle in. Close your eyes if you can. Take a deep breath or two.
Dreams, or what I like to call "desires", are given to us by God. The Bible speaks in the Psalms about these desires. They're tied to the design and purposes of our lives.
Of course, God designed us to desire and hope for different things.
Let me ask you a question. And you might want to write down the answers.
What are your dreams?
Was it easy or hard to start writing?
Any parent knows that each of their children has different desires. Mothers and fathers want to do whatever it is they can to see the desires of their children fulfilled.
Many of us find ourselves in conflict inside our own heart over this idea. We find it difficult to see God loving us even better than an earthly parent.
Let's ask Jesus a question:
Jesus, do I have your permission to dream big dreams?
If you are having a hard time getting permission, let's ask God another question:
God, where did I learn the lie that You don't want me to dream the big dreams of my heart? Is there someone I need to forgive?
If the answer is yes, let's do that now. This is a ticket out of being afraid of your own heart. I bless them and ask You to bless them.
OK, let's try this again.
What are the dreams of your heart?
Please know that much of the anxiety we feed on comes from not being happy with ourselves. Much of that unhappiness comes from not really living our lives consistent with who God made us to be.
You have an uncommon blend of amazing traits combined for a specialized expression of who God our Father is.
God bless you today as you learn to live life holding the hand of a limitless King.
