In the Shadowsமாதிரி
Reading the Bible can feel intimidating sometimes. But one simple way of studying Scripture is called S.O.A.P. It stands for "Scripture," "Observation," "Application," and "Prayer." We'll show you how—it's easy!
S: Scripture
If you haven't already, read today's passage of Scripture. Then summarize it in your own words.
O: Observation
Read James 1:19–25 again.
- What instructions do you see?
- Where does it place the focus of our attention?
- What does it teach us about how we view others?
A: Application
- What's something you often find yourself judging others for?
- What does this passage invite you to do differently in how you view others' actions?
- What would change if everyone focused on doing what was right rather than judging what was right?
P: Prayer
Spend some time in prayer about actions you find yourself judging in others. Ask God to give you the humility to slow down, consider other perspectives, and turn your heart toward a spirit of learning over accusing. Then, say thank you for the ways God is patient with and loving toward you.

இந்த திட்டத்தைப் பற்றி
As we grow and experience more life, we might find the shadows of doubt or questions creeping towards us. Rather than running from the shadows, we can look to God to cast some light on the situation. In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll take a look at stories that draw us closer to God's light whenever we feel lost in the shadows.
