Women of Welcome: What Does the Bible Say About Immigration?

16 ல் 8 நாள்

Hospitality seems to be a theme usually given to women in ministry. Yet it’s an instruction to all of us who love Jesus.

From the stranger on the side of the road to the prisoner, the orphan, the widow, or our next-door neighbor, we’re told to see the world around us and to look in anticipation of providing hospitality to anyone in need.

Thoughtful Questions

  1. Hebrews 13 indicates that we are to remember not only those in need but also those in pain. You might not know what it’s like to languish in prison, but many people do. You may not know what torture means, but others do. How do those of us who have never experienced these kinds of hardships come alongside others, as the verse indicates that we do?
  2. What does hospitality look like in your life? Do you think it differs much from the kind of hospitality the Bible talks about?
  3. Is there anyone or any group of people you hesitate to show hospitality to? If so, what’s your hesitation?
