Part 3 SUICIDESmakprov
YOUR LIFE DOES MATTER!
Whether a Veteran or a Civilian, a teen or an adult, every life matters, because you were created with a purpose and you were created in the image of God.
“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27
"For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Yes, I repeated yesterday’s scripture and will do so again, because I want every reader, whether they have contemplated suicide or not, to know that You Matter. Every life matters to our God!
Our mind is a powerful organ. It was the very first computer, created by God. “The brain is arguably the most important organ in the human body.It controls and coordinates actions and reactions, allows us to think and feel, and enables us to have memories and feelings—all the things that make us human.” Info from Princeton Brain, Spine, and Sports Medicine.
If we continually dwell on what is wrong, everything will appear as always being wrong.
May the spirit within rise up and take control of our thought patterns. In the previous Series 1 and 2 on suicide, I shared my own personal journey and I can tell you that if You seek God, He is able to bring you out of the dark places into a marvelous light!
God wants us to always choose life.
“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!“ Deuteronomy 30:19
Again, I tell you, there is no shame in reaching out for help if you feel you are too weak to fight the battle alone. No shame, rather it shows great courage to reach out. It tells God that His creation of you does matter and that your desire is to live.
PRAYER: God, I ask that You give hope to the hopeless, strength to those who are so tired and weary. God I pray that their minds be open to receive truth and that they rebel not against You Lord, but against the thoughts of their mind. Father, Benjamin Franklin once said, that “God helps those, who help themselves.” We are trusting God that those who help themselves by reaching out, receive in Jesus Name. Amen
