THERE’S NO WAY
What is something in your life that feels impossible?
The song “There’s No Way” is a declaration that no matter what giants you may be facing, there is no situation where the Lord will let you down. He is by your side in every season! No matter the trial or circumstance, God is still in complete control. He does not fail!
This may seem hard to believe when the hardships of life overwhelm us. Losing a job, receiving an alarming report from a doctor, or facing the tragedies of death cause us to desperately turn our eyes to heaven, wondering how and when our help will come. Without the hope of Jesus, these heartbreaks seem like needless devastations, but for the people of God, these moments are crucibles for glory where we learn to stand on and agree with the promises of God. Both in Deuteronomy and in the book of Hebrews, the Lord tells us, “He will never leave us, nor forsake us.” Scripture is full of promises for the people of God: The Lord will take what the enemy intended for evil and turn it for good (Gen. 50:20), and He will work all things together for the good of those who love Him (Rom. 8:28). With God all things are possible (Mat. 19:26), and we can take heart because Jesus has overcome the world (Jn. 16:33) This is a vibrant hope worth clinging to!
The first verse sets the tone for the rest of the song: “There’s no way that I’m giving up on the edge of my breakthrough, I’ve walked long enough to know. There’s a grace for me that’s still enough and a hope that I cling to, even in the lowest low.” It’s a posture of faith that calls us to remember the many times in our lives where the Lord has proven Himself faithful. When we feel unsure or scared of the storms that are rolling in, let us recall how God weathered the tempests of the past. When we feel our backs are up against the wall and it feels like there is no way out, let us disagree with any second-rate options and press on with faith saying, “There’s no way the Lord is going to let us down!”
Reflection questions:
- How has God proven Himself faithful to you in the past?
- Is there a situation in your life where you need to surrender and trust the Lord?

Join Red Rocks Worship in an 11-day devotional diving into their album, Ascend. It's often hard to remind ourselves of the truth we know, that God is omnipresent and always available to us. Psalm 139 tells us that we cannot hide from Him. Continuing in Psalms, David states that those with clean hands and pure hearts will experience His presence. Lord, clean our hands and purify our hearts!
