Practice Day:
Remember yesterday? Probably not, so I’ll give you a quick reminder because today, you’re going to put it into practice!
The method of reading the Bible that we talked about is REAP… see now you remember, right? The R stands for Read, so when you click to the next page, a longer passage than a normal devotional will be there. The challenge is to take your time- spend at least 5 minutes reading this passage the whole way through.
Next is E for Examine. Spend the next 5 minutes looking back at the passage. Note the things that stand out and don’t make sense at first. Reread the confusing parts, and use your resources to start answering your own questions! Make sure to ask yourself what the reading made you learn about Jesus!
A is for apply. Spend another few minutes thinking about what in your life could be altered to reflect what you just read.
Then we end in Prayer. Thank God for His goodness and love. Ask Him to show you more application, ask Him to help you take your next steps, and ask Him any of your questions left unanswered.
I urge you to really try this out if you have never been able to read your Bible consistently. The Bible is your greatest tool to know who our God is and how much he loves you. The time is worth it.
