Rerouting

DAG 24 AV 25

When gardening, it’s always important to keep the season in mind when deciding what to plant. Seeds that would flourish in the fall could struggle in the summer heat. Spring rains bring much-needed moisture to planted seeds and helps them establish strong and healthy roots. Plant something at the wrong time, and you may find yourself with scraggly plants, withered roots, or even burnt leaves. But plant it at the right time, and you could reap a bountiful harvest filled with good things. Sometimes what we want in life can be at odds with good timing. We may want a certain situation or specific turn to happen right now when it may be better if it happened in the future. How wonderful to know that the God of all creation is also the keeper of time! He knows what is best for us at every moment in our lives, so our decisions, and choices will help us grow and develop deep roots based on Him. Of course, it takes trust to follow His timing. It takes trust to place the desires of our hearts into God’s hands instead of trying to control everything ourselves. What do you need to place into God’s timing? Where do you hear God saying “wait,” and where do you hear Him saying “go”?
