From the very beginning, God has been the prominent figure in every story. If you’ve never read the story of Noah, or if it’s been a few years since you’ve glanced at it, take time to read it today. What has been commonly used as a fun Sunday School story is actually an amazing depiction of a God who remembers. It’s the story of a God who keeps His promises to His people. Even amid disappointment and anger with a creation that had turned against Him, God sought out the one faithful man who remembered - the one who continued to keep God as the focus of his life. And during a time of storms and destruction, God continued to remember Noah. He continued to protect him and promised to bless his future. Find a quiet spot in your home and begin writing out your life story. It can be as short or as long as you need. When you’re finished, read it to yourself. As you read, highlight any sections or times when you’ve seen God remember you. Look for a time when He has kept His promise to you. How does it feel to see God in your story? In what ways do you want to continue seeing God in your story?
