DAN 5 OD 7

Day 5: Let’s Talk Sex

Ok, we are going to talk about sex. That's right, S-E-X. Let’s get real: our culture is obsessed with sex. Everywhere we turn, it’s there—loud, in your face, and often distorted. But today, we’re reclaiming a biblical perspective on sexuality, and trust me, it’s far more freeing than the world wants you to believe.

What is needed right now is a sexual theology like never before. The church needs to get its sexual theology in order. And it needs to be able to articulate it with mercy and grace and boldness and confidence.

It begins with confessing the following: God’s way will make people happier. God’s design for sex within marriage isn’t some outdated restriction. It’s actually life-giving. Contrary to what culture says, following God’s way leads to true happiness and fulfillment. The world tells you that freedom is found in doing whatever feels good. But the truth is real freedom comes when we submit to God’s design for our bodies and our relationships.

Let me be clear: sex isn’t bad. God created it. But like anything, when taken outside its intended purpose, it leads to pain, brokenness, and confusion. Sexual sin isn’t just about crossing a line—it’s about rebellion against God Himself. That’s what makes it so dangerous. Sin isn’t just “bad behavior,” it’s a rejection of God’s design for our lives.

But here’s the good news: the Holy Spirit empowers us to live differently. You’re not left to battle temptation on your own. God gives you the strength to live out a radically different sexual ethic in a sex-obsessed world. It’s possible, but it requires trust, repentance, and surrender.

Repentance isn’t about feeling sorry for what you’ve done. It’s about turning away from sin and turning toward God. It’s changing your mind and agreeing with God. When we understand that sin is rebellion against a holy God, our hearts shift from mere remorse to genuine repentance.

So today, ask yourself: Am I living according to God’s design or the world’s lies? Trust that God’s way is better, and let the Holy Spirit transform your view of sexuality. True freedom and fulfillment are found when we honor God in every area of our lives—including this one.
