God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 1 )Uzorak
Acts: Week 3 – Day 2
Everything about Peter’s visit to Cornelius was strange and new. As an average guy from Israel, he had never been the guest of a prominent Roman family. From the greetings to the décor, the washing customs to the food, everything would have been different.
Peter was out of his element but reliant on the God who had recently given him the Holy Spirit. So when Peter preached and the Romans believed, who was he to say God was wrong? Instead, he recognized God’s hand at work and got out of the way of the Holy Spirit filling these new friends.
How often do we avoid sharing Jesus with those we think would never be interested? Instead of deciding who we think could or couldn’t make it into the Kingdom, let’s spread the gospel and get out of the Holy Spirit’s way.
