Whispers From The Father
My children rarely let me leave for work without getting a hug and kiss. I always whisper something in their ear: “I love you,” “You make me smile,” or “I’m so glad I’m your dad.” Sometimes I even pray over them.
In these brief moments, my children get a glimpse of how I see them, a correct vision of themselves that is truly transformational. You can see the change in their posture, their countenance and yes—their behavior. The transformation is powerful!
Guess what? Our heavenly Father whispers in our ear, too.
Perhaps He’s whispering to you today: “I love you. You are blessed. I’m so glad you’re my child. You were born with a purpose and destiny. I’m thinking about you always, and they are good thoughts.”
Make some time and space today. Spend some quiet time in His Word, listening as He speaks over you. Renew your mind as you are reminded who He is, what He’s done, and who you are in Him. Ask Him to give you His perspective… and be transformed.
Prayer: Father, help me to hear the words you whisper in my ear. I rejoice in the assurance you speak to me: I am your child, I am loved, and you have given me a purpose. Thank you for loving me so deeply!
