DAN 354 OD 365

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting (Micah 5:2).

Are you ready to meet King Jesus?

Who is like God is the meaning of Micah's name. He predicts the birth of Jesus in an obscure place: Bethlehem. (Bethlehem isn't mentioned in the list of towns in Joshua 15 or Nehemiah 11 where Judah's clans lived.) The bread of life will be born in the house of bread, which is the meaning of Bethlehem. Located just five miles south of Jerusalem would be the birthplace of the eternal God and King. Matthew, who writes to present Jesus as King, quotes from Micah 5:2 (Matthew 2:5-6). The fifth-century BC prophecy petrifies Herod, who perceives Jesus as a rival. Yet the wise men still pursue the newborn King!

Employment Point: Worship and serve King Jesus today, as you await His return.
