Discerning God's Will for Your LifeUzorak
In the book of Acts, when the Apostle Paul meets Jesus, he immediately asks what Jesus wants him to do. He calls Jesus, Lord.
We see here that Paul submitted to the lordship of King Jesus and was willing to do whatever Jesus told him.
At times, God does not reveal His specific will to people because many have already made up their minds to not do what He says if they don’t like or agree with it. Many people say, “God don't tell me to do something that will cost me, that will infringe on my liberties, my comfort, and my complacency.”
If you want to know God’s will, you have to show up as a blank canvas, and be willing to do whatever He asks. If you die to your own will, you will be tested, but you will find God’s will and your obedience to Him on the other side.
Everybody who dies ceases to struggle with certain things. They come back to life spiritually into a newness of life that is only possible through surrender.
Have you gotten to that point?
Let's Pray:
Father, forgive me for putting my will before Yours. I want to die to myself and live with Jesus as the Lord of my life. Holy Spirit, humble me to surrender my will to Jesus’ will for my life.

The number one question I hear from people is, “How can I know what God’s will is for my life?” I would agree that it’s a valid question to have. How can anyone know what God desires in their ministry, job, marriage, or any other sphere of life? Knowing His will for any particular area of our life is important. I have asked myself these questions as well, and this is what I’ve learned.
