More than a Single Decision

We give our lives to the Lord on a single day and time, and it is a moment that we can never forget! But the life of a Christian is about becoming, growing, and transforming. So becoming sons and daughters of God is about how we live after that moment. We have to ask ourselves questions like, how do I make that one big decision into a lifestyle? 

Sometimes we can get to a place where we put our Christianity on and off, like our favorite hoodie or pair of shoes. But life in Christ is so much more. 

Loving God is about living for Him. Jesus said in John 14:15, “If you love me, keep my commandments. So don't hold back! Work at walking out your faith, choice by choice. Our salvation says that our confession is about a total life change, one that we live with meaning and purpose. 

Think On It: 

Challenge yourself to be the best representation of the Lord that you can be. Think about this: would my everyday choices be a godly example to others? Am I setting a pattern that my friends could follow if they wanted to give their life to Christ? 

Did that hit your soul the way it just hit mine?! This is what life in Christ is about. Not what we put on or off but who we are.  Make the decision to take those everyday steps toward living for Him, and determine to show the people around you how to do the same.
