Like the Book of John and 1st John, Revelation was written by John. He is writing about the future, the events surrounding Jesus’ return. Here in chapter 5, Jesus is shown in His rightful place in heaven. He is said to be worthy of all praise because He died for us. He gave up His place in heaven and died for us, which made Him more worthy of praise. When we are tempted to be proud and self-seeking, we need to remember to be more like Jesus.
