Listening To The Word - 1 YearUzorak
Regular Worship
Deuteronomy 16:16-17
“Three times a year all your men must appear before the Lord your God at the place he will choose:…No man should appear before the Lord empty handed: Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you.”
Worship was not an option for the men of Israel. Their regular feasts anchored the spiritual life of Israel’s families and reminded them of who God was and what he had done.
What regular spiritual practices anchor our lives and homes?
Are we worshipping God with our gifts in proportion to how he has blessed us?
What happens when we appear before the Lord empty handed, but say and sing the right words?
Lord Jesus, thank you for worship and the capacity to say thank you with thanksgiving. I pray our home would be anchored in regular worship that you might receive glory and praise.
