Bloom Where You're Planted
I love the visual picture in John 15:1. Jesus is the vine. God the Father is the gardener. The fruits produced by the vine are the result of the inward working of the Holy Spirit and we as believers are the branches. It’s a clear picture of all the roles at play. The gardener, God the Father, plants believers all over the world. He has deliberately planted you and me right where we are. He wants our branches to reach people for Him.
I’m not just referring to people in ministry, but to believers in every field, occupation, and city around the globe. As we’re connected to Jesus, we’ll carry the influence of Christ to our workplaces, schools, neighborhoods, and communities. The work of the Holy Spirit helps us accomplish God’s purposes in our lives, no matter where God places us. You’re not here by accident. You have a divine calling on your life and your life is meant to make an eternal difference. Look around and see the hurting, broken, or lost in your life. Pray that God will give you influence and divine appointments with them.
Our job as believers is to stay connected to the vine and to trust God as He leads us and prompts us to bring His love and hope to our world. We are blessed to be a blessing. As we stay connected to Jesus, the vine, we’ll represent the love of Christ to every person in our paths and our branches will reach the world one community at a time. Let’s bloom where God has planted us.

Jesus is the true vine and He tells us that if we remain in Him as He remains in us, then our lives will produce much fruit. He is the source of life. Apart from Him, we can do nothing. Jesus gives us the formula for how to be powerful, difference-making, victorious Christians—and that’s to remain in Him. He’ll supply everything we need for life and godliness as we stay connected to the vine. Join me in this five-day study and let’s learn together how to remain in Him and produce much fruit.
