Becoming the Leader God Intended Me to Be

ZUVA 2 REMAZUVA 5

Day 2

Beginning with the end in mind

Some mornings, you’re hit with the magnanimity of the day ahead before your feet even hit the floor. Messages of self-doubt can run through your head, creating fear and paralysis about the tasks ahead of you.

Leadership guru Peter Drucker says, “The only worthy goal is to make a meaningful life out of an ordinary one.”

I love how this parallels the wisdom of the Psalmist teaching us to number our days, Paul counsels in Ephesians to be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, and the importance of striving for things eternal.

Every day should begin with you setting your sights on achievements that really matter in light of Kingdom advancement and have eternal value.

Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Matthew 6:20 (NLT)

Leaders who set themselves apart go one step further to set goals far enough ahead of what is actually achievable, knowing the journey will be demanding, but worth the effort. We call that faith...trusting God to show up in places we haven’t planned for, expecting Him to do divine work.
