ZUVA 61 REMAZUVA 90

Week 10
(Numbers 3–16, Psalm 26–29, Romans 9–15)

Devotional
David is called a man after God's own heart, not because of his perfection, but because of his quickness to repent when he sinned. His love for God was evident in his worship and in his desire to dwell in God’s presence. As we see in Psalm 27:4, David's greatest longing was: "One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple." David knew that what he truly needed was God's presence, and he recognized that looking at life through the lens of God’s work would shift his perspective. He also understood that an unrepentant heart would hinder his experience of God's presence.

Prayer
When David said he "inquired in His temple," what do you think that meant? To inquire is to take time to listen and learn. David sought God’s voice and leadership. We often ask for forgiveness for the obvious sins, but God also wants to transform our thoughts and actions—those moments when we fall short without even realizing it. For example, not showing respect or courtesy might not seem like a sin, but it doesn’t reflect God’s heart. Take time today to “inquire” of God and ask Him to reveal areas of your life where you might need to repent—those subtle sins or attitudes that don’t align with His character.
