(VIDEO TRANSCRIPT BELOW)

Have you ever argued with someone, and then an adult asked you to apologize? Maybe you thought, "But they started it!" It’s not easy to say sorry when we feel like we’re the ones who were wronged first.

Often, when we have issues with one another, both people feel as if they have been wronged. It can be hard to admit that you have done something wrong if you are too distracted by what someone did to you! In Matthew 6, Jesus teaches his disciples that how we forgive others is connected to how we experience forgiveness. When we admit our mistakes, we’re more likely to forgive others for theirs.

Take some time today to ask God to help you forgive those who have hurt you in the past.
