Pray for International Relations

We're so grateful for all the prayers that have gone up because of people like you joining with us through this reading plan. We can only imagine what the throne room of heaven has sounded like with so many praying in one accord from one corner of the globe.

It is also interesting to imagine this scenario: what if there was an initiative in every country for Christians to pray for specific topics regarding their homeland? How might heaven sound then?

John was shown an astounding vision of the international unity and worship surrounding God's throne (Revelation 7:9-10). Perhaps you have attended conferences or worship at a multinational church and experienced glimpses of that. There is a richness in many different types of people all worshipping the one true God!

Today's topic of prayer for America is international relations. This world is filled with people who are diverse racially, culturally, historically, and geographically. Like any interpersonal relationship, our country relating to another takes a lot of time, clear communication, mutual respect, and finding a common purpose.

Intercede in prayer today for diplomats, emissaries, and heads of state to find common ground and avenues of cooperation. Pray decisions can be made between America and other nations that are mutually beneficial to the citizens of both countries.

Also, be sure to ask God to protect, strengthen, and (where needed) bring healing to our armed forces and their families. There are many strained relationships between several countries in this world. Some of those relational conflicts have led American servicemen and women into hostile areas, sometimes for many months.

It's common to desire world peace. Yet what this world needs is not just the absence of conflict but true harmony. This can be possible through our prayers and the love we as Christians have for each other—especially our brothers and sisters in other nations.

Pray for America

As Christians, we must unite and dedicate time to praying for our country and for our leaders. America was built on prayer and we know that God will hear our prayers. Please join CBN and Christians across the country in 15 days of prayer for America.
