Iron Sharpens Iron: Growing in Leadership

GENEROUS SPIRIT

Good leaders quickly recognize the profound influence of cultivating a generous spirit. Generosity has a unique appeal, leaving a lasting impact on the world around us. Both believers and non-believers alike appreciate the immense value of a generous heart. As Sir Winston Churchill wisely said, “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”

Pastor Steve often reminds us that “leaders lead,” and when it comes to embodying a generous spirit, how much more should those who lead in God’s house exemplify generosity through their words, actions, and responses? The church has always been a refuge of healing, help, and hope. As leaders, we must continually push ourselves to find new ways to be generous, creating space in our lives that allows the Father’s heart to shine through us.

As you reflect on today’s passages, consider where you can grow in generosity. How can you be a blessing to those around you? Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you today, and by faith, step out and be generous to someone He places on your heart
