Prayers for Those That Don't Know JesusChikamu
Day 5: For all to experience God’s lavish grace
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace that he richly poured out on us with all wisdom and understanding.
Ephesians 1:7-8
Today, as we wrap up our five days of praying for those who do not know Jesus, let’s pause to consider this phrase in our passage today; “the riches of his grace.” What a truly remarkable blessing we have received in Jesus!
But to appreciate his grace we have to remember what it cost. Grace is free to us but it came at a cost to Jesus.
We have redemption. Though we were dead in sin and lost, Jesus has bought us back by offering payment of his life and death.
We have forgiveness. A holy God cannot just wave his hand and dismiss sin. Forgiveness costs something. It cost Jesus his life, but he offers forgiveness to us freely because of his grace.
We are rich in grace.
Because of grace the penalty for sin has been paid.
Because of grace the curse of sin has been broken.
Because of grace we have assurance of salvation.
Unlike riches in this world, the riches of his grace never run out.
What an amazing grace we have in Jesus. Today, let’s praise God for this grace and pray for those who do not have that grace yet. As you think of the unreached around the world, pray for them to understand the riches of his grace that are available to them. Pray that they may experience the lavish grace of God in their life.

This five-day devotional uses a scriptural foundation to focus on praying for those who do not know Jesus. If we are intentional and consistent in praying, we will see many people open their hearts to Jesus.
