Gods Will for YouChikamu
How many opportunities have you missed?
"Déborah, do you remember me?"
This man stood before me after one of my performances with a beautiful smile on his face. And then he reminded me: "Back then, many years ago, you sang at my club..."
And in the next moment, I felt different. Because, at that time, I lived a completely different life. I was a completely different Déborah.
Yes, I've always sung. But I sang for a different purpose: I wanted to make money, and I sang different songs—whatever everyone wanted to sing and hear.
As this man, the owner of that club stood before me and smiled at me, he said, "My life has changed too! Jesus has found me, and I enjoy reading the daily miracles every day.”
My heart filled with such great joy…before it became sad again. Because this man had always been searching for what I already knew, but because I wasn't living it, he couldn't see it in me either!
This realization hurt me so much, and I couldn't help but ask God to forgive me for all the missed opportunities! You can see how much our God loves by the fact that He still led this man to Himself! But who knows, maybe He already wanted to do that through me back then.
You must live what you know so that others can find in you what they are searching for!
How about you? Are you—metaphorically speaking—also singing what everyone wants to hear? Or are you passing on what you've received?
In the Bible, it says: "For you are all children of light... So we must not be like the others who sleep, but we must be alert and clearheaded... For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ... Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up in the faith!" (from 1 Thessalonians 5:5-11 ESV)
I encourage you today to seize this opportunity to help someone in faith by living what you know so that others can find in you what they are searching for!
You are a miracle!
