GREAT MINDS

My Dearest Daughter,

You are chosen for greatness. Remember you are the daughter of a king. I see the fight for your mind, but I need you to know the greatness I placed on the inside of you was intentional and comes with purpose. I made you strong enough to win against every attack against your life.

When I ask you to take up your cross and follow me, it’s because of your greatness. I chose my disciples because of their greatness and potential. I find it not strange that I started choosing them once I left the wilderness. I went straight to the water because fishermen know how to pull people in with the great fish they catch and also know how to capture people’s attention by being themselves.

That’s who I needed on my team. People who know how to be themselves, unafraid to share their stories and testimonies. People unafraid to study and learn from my every move. Studying me will build your confidence and also help you see why I chose you. You will not only start believing in yourself but also believing in me! I will never lie to you or try to hype you up with a false representation of me. I will pour out my Spirit on you, and you will see exactly who I say you are to the world and beyond.

Love,
Your Father

Hey, Sis.

This letter came to me a little differently. I asked myself a question and wrote it down.

Do I truly believe I am chosen for greatness?

My experiences in life had made me wonder if it was true I was chosen for greatness, and after getting to know the Lord better, I see that it is. All I can do is wake up every day and choose him. Some days I want to give up and do it my way, but I find myself turning around and doing it his way again.

Choosing God daily allows me to know him in a way that forces me to trust his plans for me. Choosing God daily isn’t the easiest because once you make that decision to follow him, the fight gets real. But you learn to equip yourself with prayer and fasting and realize he’s so worth it. God fought for us when he died for us on the cross, so I look at being chosen to follow him, and even call him friend, as an honor.

On my daily walk, I asked myself, “Camara, do you believe you are chosen for greatness and God can turn your mess into a message to save others?” The answer is yes! Though it’s hard to see at times, I believe him.

Also, here’s the tea: the enemy goes harder at the ones who have a story to tell.

Look at yourself while you’re in this place and check out the people around you. Are they lifting you up or bringing you down? Are they reminding you of what you’re called to do? God has always been about teams, so who’s on yours? And are they drawing you closer to him or farther away from him?

When you choose the people who will be in your life, be as specific as God was when he chose the disciples. Each had a strength that was needed, but all knew the art of pulling people together to see the bigger picture. When you’re chosen for greatness, you want to always make sure the people around you are reminding you to trust God when things get tough.

Love you, Sis. Camara

Love Letters to My Daughters

Ever wondered what a love letter from God feels like? Seven years ago, I began journaling my conversations with Him, finding comfort and reminders that I'm never alone. During the pandemic, God guided me to publish "Love Letters to My Daughters." Initially nervous about sharing my personal journal entries, I found courage in Revelation 12:11 (NLT): "And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony..." Take this journey with me and let God, the love of our lives, guide us most beautifully.
