The Sound of LightChikamu
The Lighthouse
The love of the One who loves you unconditionally is like a lighthouse abiding on the rocky shore. Its light sweeps over the restless waves threatening our good passage. God’s love beams over the storm and says, “I will light the way, so rest. Rest, Child, rest.”
Like the rescuer that lives upon the rocky shore, God comes down from the lens room, pulls the rowboat into the roiling surf, and circles the oars as if they are nothing. The tempest means little to the Almighty. The One who made you holds out a loving hand, inviting you to your rescue.
May you heave a sigh of relief and pray, “Oh, blessed Keeper of my soul, I’m in Your care now.”
Once again, God tells you, “Rest now. I Am come aboard your lot. I Am come to the storm. I Am lighthouse, boat, and sea. I Am your strong and steady passage to calmer straits. I calm the waters.”
When life becomes too much, and control is wrested away by tossing waves too wild for your powers, only lift your wrist and take God’s arm. You are now in the perfect position for your Creator’s balm of divine love. That love is your home and mine, our lighthouse, today, tomorrow, and every day, we say “Yes” to being carried by God, rocked and cradled in omnipotence, leaning on the everlasting arms.
So light my path with Your love, O God, even as I trust in You. Take me to tranquil straits and secure bays. Your love provides me with all I need for safe passage. Part my waters, move my sea, still my storm.
Be filled, Dear Friend, with God’s healing presence, and in that, within and without, you will be loved, Beloved. Be loved.

The Sound of Light offers words of peace to those amid life’s tragic journeys. It is meant to be spoken as a source of God’s comfort for those who are at life’s end, as an encouragement of God’s healing for those in critical condition, and as a renewal of God’s hope and love for those struggling with despair and suicidal thoughts. God created you, loves you, and cherishes you.
