Speaking Life
Today, let’s focus on the importance of our words in building up others and glorifying God. Our speech has the power to shape realities, uplift spirits, and bring hope to those around us.
Proverbs 18:21 (NIV) “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Our words carry weight—more than we often realize. Are we speaking life and encouragement into the lives of others? Or are we inadvertently tearing down with careless speech? Let’s meditate on how we can use our tongues as instruments of God’s love and grace.
Colossians 4:6 urges us to let our conversations be full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that we may know how to answer everyone. Psalm 141:3 prompts us to set a guard over our mouths, keeping watch over the door of our lips. And Ephesians 4:15 encourages us to speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ.
Today, let’s commit to using our words to build up, encourage, and bring hope. Let’s pray for wisdom and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, so that our speech may always reflect God’s heart. Remember, your words have the power to bless and transform lives!
