Holding on to Hope in Your Waiting Season a 5-Day Plan by Krista PettifordChikamu
Be Fully Convinced
And being fully convinced that what He had promised, He was also able to perform.
Romans 4:21
To be fully convinced is to have complete assurance and to wholly believe that God will fully accomplish His will.
When God gives us an impossible-sized promise, He desires that we will be fully convinced against all the odds, that He will keep His promise, and hold on to hope no matter how long it takes to finish our race.
As with Abraham and Sarah, becoming fully convinced does not always happen immediately. More often, it happens over time. In their waiting season, Abraham and Sarah wrestled. They doubted and wavered, but they learned to hope in God against all odds, agree with Him, say what He said about them, and praise Him during their waiting.
But, there comes a point in our waiting season, after we wrestled, doubted, and wavered, that we become wholly persuaded that what God promised He will also accomplish in His timing and His way. God is so gracious, kind, and long-suffering with us. He patiently waits for us to come to this state in our faith.
Many witnesses in the Bible and throughout history, including Abraham and Sarah, were totally convinced that God would perform His promises. Some did not receive their promises in their lifetime because it was a promise for another time. But they all held on to hope and finished their race.
Beloved, when you begin to feel dissuaded in your faith, remember there is a cloud of witnesses who walked the same path and are cheering you on.

About this Plan
Krista Pettiford encourages believers in a waiting season not to give up when God gives them an impossible-sized promise – something contrary to what our circumstances conclude that only God can do. God kept His word to Abraham and Sarah after waiting twenty-five years because they held to their hope, and He will do the same for you.
