It's Going to Be Alright (The Art of Grieving): 6 Days Through the Book of JoelChikamu
When we face loss, grief, and hardships, there is a tendency to back down and run away because we feel afraid. Grieving can be a scary process, and stepping into what God has called us to do often fills us with anxiety. However, the Roar within us calls us to our destiny. Instead of succumbing to fear, we can use it as a guide to understand God's Calling.
Joel 3:16 says, "The Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the heavens will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel." This Roar signifies God's Power and Protection, reminding us that even amidst chaos and fear, He is our Refuge.
God's Roar is a call to action, a call to run toward our fears and not away from them. The enemy tries to hold you back, but your destiny lies in moving forward. It's in these moments of fear that you find your True Calling. You must be willing to face your fears head-on, using them as indicators of where God is leading you.
Think about the roar of a lion in the wild. Lions hunt by sending a big lion to roar, scaring their prey into the waiting jaws of lionesses. The prey runs from the roar, thinking they are escaping danger, only to run straight into it. Similarly, when you run away from your fears, you often run into more significant challenges. Instead, you should run toward the Roar, trusting that God is leading you to Victory.
The Roar of the Lord signifies His Ultimate Victory and our place in it. We are on the winning team, and this knowledge should encourage us to live courageously. With God for you, who can be against you?
To embody this courage, you must:
- Remember His Love for you and what truly matters.
- Occupy your role faithfully until He returns, being diligent in your daily lives and work.
- Assemble with God's people, finding strength and encouragement in community.
- Repent and realign yourself with God's Path whenever you stray.
Embrace His Sacrifice, run toward the Roar, and trust that His Love and Power will guide and protect you.
