GOD EQUIPS YOU
When the shepherd boy David finally convinced King Saul that the God who rescued him from lions and bears would rescue him from the giant Goliath, the king gave David his own battle gear to wear: “a bronze helmet and a coat of mail” (1 Samuel 17:38 NLT). But after strapping the sword over the borrowed armor, David realized he could barely walk. So he took it off and “picked up five smooth stones from a stream and put them into his shepherd’s bag. Then, armed only with his shepherd’s staff and sling, he started across the valley to fight the Philistine” (1 Samuel 17:40 NLT). In the end, it was God’s power, David’s sling and faith, and one stone that brought down the giant Goliath. When challenged by the giants in your life, trust that God has already equipped you with everything you need to triumph. For He, working through you, is your greatest weapon!
Prayer: I’m blessed to have You clothe and equip me in Your power, Lord. As I trust in You, I’m ready to face any challenge that comes before me—in Your name!
