God's Redemption Story (Judges - 2 Samuel)Chikamu
Ruth - 5/5
“Someday you’ll look back and see how it all worked out.”
“Hindsight is 20-20.”
“We’ll laugh about this someday.”
Do you ever hear these common phrases and ask, what if we don’t? I don’t mean we’ll never see God working. Rather the opposite. The work we see God doing in our lives could be only the tip of the iceberg of how God will use us.
Ruth saw God redeem her story, bring her into covenant relationship with a good man, and replace her foreign status with a family, a son, and belonging. Yet she never saw the long-term blessings that came through her trust in God when the Savior of the world was born to her descendants.
We won’t be a forefather of Jesus, but our lives, and our testimonies of God’s redemption and goodness will influence our kids, our friends, and many others. Let’s live as though we believe he will use our redeemed lives in ways we can’t imagine.
