Hope for the IncarceratedChikamu
Welcome to Hope for the Incarcerated, a scripture reading plan from Hope is Alive Ministries (HIA) geared specifically toward those who are currently incarcerated. If that’s you, hopefully, you will find encouragement, inspiration, and respite within the scriptures chosen here and the daily devotions written just for you.
This scripture reading plan is twofold. First, there are short devotions like this one, put together with you in mind. The goal is to provide some form of practical teaching that will reach you wherever you are and give you hope.
These are alternated with inspirational stories of hope written by various members of the staff at HIA, all of whom are recovering addicts writing from their own experiences of incarceration. They share what they went through, what they learned, and how Jesus spoke to them even in the midst of what was the most trying time of their lives.
As you journey through the next 14 days, meditate on what you find here and ask the Holy Spirit to expand it in your heart and mind. Maybe you’ll want to explore the scripture more!
Thank you for joining us on this journey.
