DAY 7 - Persistence
We are tracking along with David as he faced Goliath in a spirit of “I have faith for this” victory. In 1 Samuel 17:34, we find that David persisted. Do you know what persistence means? It is continuing firmly and constantly in a course of action despite difficulty and opposition.
I believe with all my heart that I’m doing what I do now because I just persisted. People can underrate persistence! Even if things don't go your way, keep persisting. Even if people misunderstand you, just keep persisting. Even if you get massively disappointed, just keep persisting in following God’s plan for your life. Even if things hurt you, just persist — keep going!
I have seen every time, if you persist and if you give your challenges to God, something amazing happens, because there's always power in the persisting. That is what David did and that is why he could say, “I have faith for this”.
Prayer:
Loving God, I am so thankful that I can come to You in my weakness, and You meet it with Your grace. Help me to persist in the hard times that may come in the year ahead and to never give up following Your plan and will for my life. I pray for those who may be struggling and wanting to give up. Please help them to know Your strength and grace to endure their difficult times.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
