Prepared for a Purpose: God's Masterpiece Unveiled
Have you ever felt a twinge of envy while reading about Esther’s beauty treatments? While it may appear glamorous from the outside, we can only imagine how draining it must have been for her to endure this beautification process day after day. Moreover, this year-long preparation would have meant that Esther was secluded from the rest of the world. Are you in isolation right now? Do you feel lonely? Don’t worry! God is using this time to prepare you for the destiny that He has in store for you. You will emerge from this season of preparation radiating God’s glory. People will no longer remember where you came from but rather recognize the remarkable purpose that you were being prepared for.
It is believed that there were 400 virgins who were brought before the King, and that Esther was the 400th person. The Bible does not say that Esther was made queen on the same night that she met the king. She would have probably gone back to the harem and waited. We do not know the duration of her wait. During this time, she was probably told that she had reached a place of no return and her dreams of becoming a queen were lost forever. But here's the beautiful part: the King of Heaven had already orchestrated her triumphant return.
Do you find yourself in a state of hopelessness? Do you believe you have reached a point of no return? Take heart! You will make a remarkable comeback. God has already set in motion His plans for you to be adorned with the crown of His favor and purpose. Just as Esther went from being a Jewish slave girl to ascending the throne as the queen of Persia, God can rewrite your story, granting you a new narrative and a beautiful identity. All you need to do is step out in faith today.
Reflection time:
- Reflect on one area of your life wherein God’s purifying work is being carried out.
- Do you perceive God’s grand purpose for this sphere of your life?
Have a little chat with God about all that you have written down.
