An Abundant Life

Have you ever gotten lost on your way somewhere? I remember driving to an appointment and taking a wrong turn, which landed me in some unknown backstreets. When I finally found a street I recognized, I was so relieved because I knew I was back on track and heading in the right direction.

And so it is walking with the Jesus. We may take some wrong turns in life and find ourselves in places that are unfamiliar, but when we fix our eyes on Jesus, He sets our feet on solid ground and sets us on the right path. When our ears are tuned to the Holy Spirit, listening to His gentle promptings, we find ourselves exactly where we need to be. And it is a beautiful place.

When we seek Jesus, we find Him. And there is nothing more beautiful or powerful than the presence of God. Sitting at the feet of Jesus is where we find peace. It is where we find fullness of joy—not joy in the worldly sense, but a joy in knowing the creator and knowing His deep love for us. And it is where we find His direction for our lives. The Holy Spirit, in His tenderness, leads us along the right paths, directing our steps in line with His Word and His will.

The world will promise us many riches and pleasures, but they don’t compare to Jesus. They don’t compare to the joy our soul feels knowing the depths of His love for us. Fullness of life and joy are only found in the Savior.

May His presence and love overflow to you today.

Real Hope: The Power of the Gospel

“The Gospel is no delicate matter. It is explosive, powerful, awesome and extremely effective at causing change. Simultaneously it is gentle and full of love, grace, and patience. Only God could create something that is somehow incredibly powerful in its simplicity. In its purest form it is after all quite uncomplicated.” (TNT – Robbie Parkin)
