We Were Made to Be Courageous

ZUVA 4 REMAZUVA 5

1 Peter 5:8 tells us that the devil is always on the prowl, waiting for that one weak moment in you for him to attack. That one moment where you get down on yourself, he will jump in and send you down a rabbit hole of negativity. But you can counter his guerrilla warfare, he’s not as clever as he thinks. He may deceive the non-believers and keep them satisfied, for he does not attack that which he does not already have, so if he’s attacking you that’s a good sign. You’re heading in the right direction.

You see, all of the things he meant for guilt and shame, the Cross has already met with grace. The devil is already under your feet, you just have to remember it. So stay one step ahead of him by getting closer to the One who has already written his demise. You are not bound to your past. You are not who you were 5 years ago, you aren’t even who you were yesterday. You are who God says you are, and He thought of you so highly that He came down from His throne and journeyed from a world away just to hold your hand while we’re in the land where Satan, the only other person in the Bible given the title “ruler of this world” (John 14: 30) has power in.

One last verse to wrap this up:

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

Deuteronomy 31:6

In all things, every casual interaction, every Goliath you face, carry those words with you. Stand strong in your faith first, then make your move.

We Were Made to Be Courageous

Do you sometimes set too high of a standard for yourself in even the most casual of social interactions? You’re not alone! My hope is that this plan will give you a healthy train of thought to follow in growing your confidence, as well as shedding unrealistic expectations, and grow in our courage the way the Bible tells us to.
