Jesus, Teach Me: Partnering With Holy Spirit in My Mothering

DAY 1 OF 7

Seeing the End From the Beginning

I sometimes find myself reminiscing about my early mothering years. I remember telling my husband how discouraged, hopeless, and unworthy I felt.

Life as a mom was grueling, a constant giving and serving without much being served back. Feeling exhausted, my hormones were out of whack - for around two years and more, I struggled with panic attacks that awoke and terrorized me during the night.

I prayed for God to give me the strength, and to help, because every single day was the same, with no hope of change in sight.

Mom, let me testify. Every day He was with me.

Our life of giving as a mom will truly never be over. However, as our children grow, the demands get easier, and you forget the hard times more and more. God heals more fully than we think possible.

Weary Mom, you need to know today, that that payday is coming. Keep doing what you’re doing, keep obeying God, keep pouring out love because there are LOTS of rewards coming, and they are MORE THAN worth it.

God meets us where we are in all of our worries, failures, and sins. He's so good at forgiving and pouring out His tender mercies on us every single day!

Take courage and keep the end goal in mind - your children will grow up and thank you sooner than you think! God was in your past, He is in your present, and He will be in your future. He never leaves; you can trust Him.

Do not be weary in well doing, but keep blazing a faithful trail. Your rewards ARE on the way, they are coming, and when you see your beautiful eternal investment in your kids, you will be pleasantly surprised and blown away by the graciousness of God. Don't quit! Your faithfulness will pay off!

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

Pray with me...

Jesus, help me to see the glorious end from the beginning and empower me to overcome as a thankful mom. Thank you for sticking with me when I feel like giving up. Give me fresh, life-giving ideas to create fun adventures with my kids! Help me to laugh with them and enjoy their company. Thank you for giving me strength and stamina as I minister to the hearts of my children. Amen.
