RENEWING the SPIRIT of FAITHChikamu
THE PROOF OF FAITH
The Bible says that when the woman with the issue of blood heard about Jesus, she came. She didn’t come before she heard. She had a problem in her body for 12 years, and then she began to hear about a man called Jesus and how great miracles were happening through Him. The more she heard, the more faith came, and when it arrived, she got up. Faith announces its presence through actions. So, if you don’t have action, you don’t have faith yet. Fear, worry, and doubt have actions just like faith. The woman with the issue of blood didn’t say, “Let me go and try if it will work,” she had faith that it would work. Faith doesn’t try; faith receives. Faith is sure. Faith doesn’t try prayer; faith prays with the assurance of getting results.
The aspect of hearing is very critical to developing a faith that produces results. In Luke 5:15, a great multitude came to Jesus to hear Him, and to be healed of their infirmities. So, you must hear first. Learn to do an anointed hearing. You have to develop faith in what you hear and in Whom God has revealed Himself to be to you. It must become a principle that rules your life from that point on.
When people come to me for prayers, I don’t rush to quickly pray for them. I usually place them on the diet of the word of God. In fact, many got their miracles by hearing the word of God alone, and I didn’t need to pray for them after.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to always give attention to hearing the word. Amen!
