Our Modern Warfare (Part 2)

ZUVA 5 REMAZUVA 7

Helmet of Salvation

Our helmet protects our head from toxic thoughts and lies. Our enemy has mastered the art of turning a woman against herself by polluting her thoughts with his lies. God has beautifully created each of us in His own image and that fills our enemy with disgust and jealousy. You better believe our enemy is going to assault your mind for the sole purpose of tearing you apart, feature by feature, so that when you look in the mirror, you hate what you see. Without your helmet on, you will see what the enemy wants you to see, instead of the beautiful woman God created you to be.

When we allow the enemy to infiltrate our thoughts with a single lie, we’re literally strapping the baggage of slavery back on. Jesus has already won our freedom, but yet so many women are not living within this freedom.

By accepting Jesus’ free gift of salvation, we’re given the freedom and strength to reject every single lie from the enemy. We don’t have to wait until eternity to cash in on the perks that come with our salvation. Our salvation guarantees our eternity in heaven with God, but it also gives us victory over the enemy while living on Earth. We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ!

Our thoughts direct our actions. By taking our thoughts captive, we reject the enemy and claim the victory for that battle. Any thought against God is toxic. When our core is built in the truth of God’s Word, we will be able to decipher the truth from the trash quickly. A good rule of thumb is if your thoughts are condemning, it is a lie from the enemy. If your thoughts are convicting, it is from God. God does not condemn; He convicts with love for the sole purpose of drawing our hearts and minds closer to Him.

By not wearing our helmet, we are leaving our minds exposed to our enemy’s purpose. There is not a single thought cycle that Jesus cannot restore. He alone can and will restore us from the inside out. Our identity as a daughter of the King will help us resist the lies and embrace who we are and who we belong to so that our identity will not be led astray.

Our Modern Warfare (Part 2)

God didn’t leave His daughters to face a viscous enemy alone. He’s given us His very own armor so we can experience victory over the enemy. Jesus’ blood has already won the war, freeing us from the power of the enemy, but few are living within this freedom. This plan will give specific examples on how God’s Word teaches His warriors to wear their armor and fight back.
