Good Reward

In chapter six in Ephesians, Paul addresses how we are to love in our families and workplaces. The context of verse eight specifically is in regard to our work ethic. Whatever good we do in our jobs, the Lord will reward us for. When we work with integrity, he takes notice, and so do others. No matter what our title or job description, how we work matters.

May we take our work seriously and do what is right at all times. Let’s not look for ways to get out of work, but let’s do all before us with ingenuity, a good work ethic, and integrity. It is pleasing to Christ when we serve those we work with and for, as if we are serving him. May we be people who do the right thing at all times whether others are watching or not. We know Christ sees all.

Jesus, I needed this reminder today. I will keep choosing to work with integrity and honor because you are worth it. I will do it for you first!
