Going Deeper With God

DAY 1 OF 3

Take Me Into the Deep Place in You

“All of Me for all of you. Let go. Don’t fear. I will help you hold onto what is good. Everything else I can take, I can handle. Try Me. Watch Me grow in you.

“I teach you how to run, after you walk, after you crawl. I teach you how to speak, after you hear, after you respond. In the hidden place within you—where the heart, not the mind, creates sense—I teach you who you are. I love you, and I’ve always loved you.

“In the night, when you have struggled, you have felt me walk with you. You have felt my company next to you, my arm holding you up. I have helped you to stand, and I have given you everything you have. Every gift you have has come from me. I give good gifts to my children. Over and over and over again.

“What do you believe you lack? What do you want me to give to you? How do you believe I have held out on you? How do you feel about me regarding the bad things that have happened to you? Do you harbor resentment? Do you have regret?

“You know I know the answer to these questions, but I ask you because I have more for your heart. I have more of me to give you. And all must be surrendered—all resentment, all worry, all fear, all false conceptions about me—and false conceptions about who you are, too—to receive it. I want you to take me into the deep place in you that knows me, the place in you that wants to know me even more.

“Will you let me in? Will you let yourself hear my voice? Will you let down your guard and turn away from this world a bit more? For what I have to give you is not of this world. What I have to give you will restore in you all that is hurting you. I bring you peace. I bring you hope. I bring you love. All of me, for all of you. Let go. Of everything. Don’t fear: I will help you hold onto what is good. Everything else I can take; I can handle. Try me. Watch me grow in you."

Friend, what is your favorite line in these words for you?

About this Plan

Going Deeper With God

God wants so much more than a casual, drive-by relationship with us. In fact, he designed us to be in deep friendship with him and it's where our hearts feel most at home. This 3 day plan helps us turn our hearts to him and trust in his good, abundant provision.
