Abiding With God in the Heartache and the Joy

DAY 11 OF 14

Do all things

Much of our drudgery stems from the mistaken idea that we are working for others, money, or survival and that our work and ministry are separate.

If we believe we work for God and we can do anything for the glory of God, our work will become holy, redeemed, and noble.

Our work, ministry, family, and the church would flow in and out of one another, dissolving from a list of rigid priorities to a living, moving equilibrium.

As we redeem our work, both at home and in paid and volunteer environments, to what God had always intended it to be - service to him – it becomes worship. How might that change your daily outlook?

Prayer

Glorious God, thank you that my work is for you. Help me to work at it with all my heart, in the knowledge that each minute of my day, I am serving my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
