More Like Jesus, Less Like Me: A Three-Day Reading Plan by Zach WilliamsChikamu
Day 3 - Walk the Walk.
Oh, I have days I lose the fight
Try my best but just don't get it right
Well I talk a talk that I don't walk
And miss the moments right before my eyes
“Well I talk a talk that I don’t walk…” - that lyric is something that I pray about a lot. When I think about being more like Jesus, the last thing I want to do is speak about His love but then act a different way. The desire of my heart is to live out that love… but sometimes, well, most times, I need God’s help to catch me in those moments - not to shame me but to help me live a more meaningful life and have a deeper relationship with Him.
Social media allows us to say a lot - but my encouragement for you is to pray for the words that you speak (or type) to flow out of God’s love. Pray that you can walk the walk with others like Jesus taught His children to do. Your influence as a believer spreads farther than you may realize. My prayer for you is to feel empowered in that truth so that you may speak Jesus’ love into the world and follow it up with actions that reflect Him.
Some questions for us to reflect on:
Are my words AND actions reflecting Jesus’ love?
Have I given my life to Jesus but turned around and judged others?
What are opportunities in my life where I can ‘walk the walk’?
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for giving me a love that’s worth talking about but help me to walk it out in my life.

How can we be more like Jesus? How does Grace have a role in diving deeper into a relationship with Jesus? What does it mean to be Jesus’ hands and feet? Let's reflect on these questions together. - Zach Williams
