Check Your Perspective
Perspective is everything.
I know a statement like that can seem like an oversimplification, but consider it for a moment.
How we view ourselves, view others and perceive the world we live in — it all radically alters both our actions and our life experiences.
No doubt perspective is everything because it affects everything, which makes it all the more important to anchor our perspective in something that the most trying circumstance can’t destroy.
We must anchor our perspective in the truth of Scripture.
Only then will we find a hope that endures and wisdom that stands the test of time. Only then will we find what we need to navigate the ever-shifting society of this world that surrounds us. Only then will we hear and know the voice of God and walk in purpose.
Personal Reflection
Take inventory of your perspective today. What influences it? What governs it? How is your soul — your mind, will and emotions — being affected? The fruits of the Spirit are not fear, worry or anxiety, but love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Let God transform your perspective today!
