Devotional: GOD’S LOVE
Paul declares to the Ephesian church that his prayer for them is to grasp how wide, long, high, and deep God’s love is for them. He wanted them to actively ponder about the vastness of God’s love, be grateful for it, and rooted deeply in the knowledge of it.
How often do we take time to ‘grasp’ the extent of God’s love for us? It’s hard to completely fathom, or perhaps even comprehend, but it’s worth contemplating!
Let’s take time today to think about how God’s love has impacted us or changed us. Let’s do as Paul suggests and be entrenched firmly in this love that surpasses all knowledge.
Journaling Prompt: WAVES
‘Many waters cannot quench this love’ is a phrase from Songs of Solomon that gives us a beautiful image of God’s love. Wave after wave, it keeps coming and overwhelming us.
Today, in your journal, express yourself creatively with this thought as a prompt, and as you do that, give thanks to God for His unfailing love.
