A House Built on Love: Answering God's Call

DAY 4 OF 7

Surrender to God's Plan for the Dream

So, God puts a little niggling seed in our hearts and when it keeps niggling and we’ve responded and said yes, we need to ask God how this seed is to be realized, how we make the dream a reality.

Often, we can want God to work in our lives but on our terms. For a God-ordained dream to fully come to fruition, we first have to surrender our agenda. Let go and let God.

As the Bible says, we need to spend time listening and praying, being, and resting in the wonderful presence of God.

As Ed wrestled with his thoughts, plans, and ideas about starting a charity to help the homeless, he came to the realization that the only way was to submit his will to God’s and not the other way around. He responded by creating a prayer that he resolved to pray every day for six months. "Lord, put on my heart your will for my life, and give me the courage to follow."

Is there something that you need to let go and let God deal with?

Spend time delighting in his presence, listening, and praying. Ask him for the courage to follow the path he’s calling you to, and trust him to be there to help you along the way.
