STAY FIT: Strengthening Your Connection To JesusChikamu
God promises that everything good and perfect is from him. So excruciatingly often, the “good and perfect” are on the other side of a desert, a raging sea, seemingly endless years of emptiness—even death. But I am certain that what he will bring us out of these dark times will be good and perfect and true. In those days, we won’t have to search for or justify or second-guess it, wondering about its authenticity, because we'll recognize his voice.
What looks like an exhausting, impossible, uncertain journey is really a road of healing that we simply can't see down. Our inability to see it doesn't make it any less orchestrated. It's detailed and fits perfectly to our footsteps and one day we will see it clearly.
This sacrifice of passionately waiting is, in itself, all about intimacy—intimacy with him who made every facet of who we are. He knows the desires he wired into our hearts, and he promises that our waiting will bring goodness. Goodness he's orchestrating now in the waiting and has been orchestrating throughout each of our stories. The intimacy of where we are with him, bringing him those desires and wrestling and weeping through them with him. That raw conversation and seeking lets his voice ring loud inside of us when he says, "This is the way. Walk in it."
