Joshua - Salvation

ZUVA 3 REMAZUVA 7

When God freed the Israelite slaves from Egypt, they sang: “The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my Salvation. “ (Exodus 15:2 NASB)

Salvation is a word the Bible uses when God frees His people. It means to preserve or deliver from harm or slavery.

Are you a slave? Are you scarred by the whips of addiction telling you to do it “just one more time”? Do you go to bed with chains of fear holding you down? Do you wake up and tell yourself, “things will get better,” but deep down, you know they never will? Do you long for life - but feel like every choice you make is another step towards death?

Joshua knew what being a slave felt like. He experienced non-stop slavery for the first forty years of his life. When God sent Moses to free him, Pharaoh made the Israelite slaves work even harder.

Like Joshua, you were born into slavery. In Romans Chapter 6, Paul explains that we are all born slaves to sin, and our final payment is eternal death and destruction in Hell. When you seek freedom, your old master works even harder to keep you enslaved. But, praise God – Jesus is our Salvation.

Challenge:

  • Memorize Exodus 15:2
  • What are you a slave to?
  • What is your next step to freedom?

Joshua - Salvation

All die - few genuinely live. All are born slaves - some become conquerors. All men are warriors. God calls us, like He called Joshua, out of slavery to become more than conquerors, more than warriors. Are you ready to stop existing in bondage and start thriving in freedom? This heavy-duty stand-alone plan is also part 1 of a 10 part series.
