6 Days Of EstherChikamu
God’s providence, or His invisible hand, if you will, works behind the scenes to bring things toward His intended end. The Bible is full of stories of God’s providence. Think of Joseph and how the ups and downs and ins and outs brought him to God’s place. Then there’s Ruth, who through tragedy and loss, not only rediscovered her unique purpose, but winds up in the line of Messiah.
But the story we’re interested in here is the one of Esther. The journey of this young girl living in exile serves as a reminder to all of us that God moves and shapes our destinies, even when it seems like He’s not around at all. Through Esther’s brave heart and her willingness to influence a pagan king, God’s chosen people, the Israelites are once again saved by God from annihilation.
By the end of the book, there can be no mistake about who the hero of that story is. God’s providence and divine will protect Esther’s people from doom.
God’s providence in your life often works the same way. He moves in ways that sometimes you do not see, but are designed for your good and His glory. Don’t underestimate the mysterious hand of providence as you contemplate your past, present, and future.
